Tha dà thachartas glé shnog air a bhith againn anns an cola-deug a chaidh seachad. We’ve had two lovely events to bring a fantastic year for Tha Seo Math Dhuibh – Good for You to a close.
We enjoyed returning to Aros with a Festive Afternoon Ceilidh this month. It was fantastic to see groups attend from Tigh na Drochaid, West Highland College Skills and Learning Programme, Portree High School, Home Farm Nursing Home, as well as lots of other people from north and south Skye. The music was provided by members of the Breakish Ceilidh Band. We sang some carols to get us in the Christmas mood. We had delicious Christmas-y home-baking, tea and coffee and enjoyed performances by Adrian and Jess (pictured below).
This week, we gathered by the Christmas tree at Aros and had our third annual Christmas Carol Sing-along. We were joined by Donald Livingstone on guitar and Iseabail Strachan on accordion. The students from West Highland College brought along bells to play, which made the carols sound even more festive! It definitely got us all in the Christmas mood.
Thank you to all who came to these events.
Our work has grown in 2019, and we are fortunate to have worked with a range of partners, groups, artists and individuals. We have provided 113 events and workshops throughout Skye and Lochalsh, aiming to increase creativity and reduce social isolation among people of all ages and abilities.
We hope to develop our work further in 2020 – keep your eyes peeled for further information.
Taing dhuibh uile airson a bhith an sàs, agus chì sinn an ath bhliadhna sibh!
