We have had some fantastic arts workshops at Aros recently.

Visual artist, Kate Mcmorrine, recently led a screenprinting workshop with students of West Highland College Skills for Learning.

Kate has since begun working with the students on a project about connections, isolation and living in Skye.

Drama and movement practitioner, Helen Danter, led a ‘Drama for Fun’ session in the theatre at Aros in October.  The youngest person who took part was three years old, and the oldest over sixy five! It was a fun and inclusive session where we explored movement, role play and group story-making.

We have also had a ‘Trash the Orchestra’ Instrument-making workshop with Pam Allan and Rick Taylor, which involved making musical instruments out of recycled materials, decorating them and playing them.

Please keep an eye on Facebook for more updates on upcoming workshops and events.  You can also now follow us on Instagram!
